Today’s jobs mainly consist of bagging and tubbing sweets. It’s not a bad job to do, but proving to be requiring a lot of willpower to NOT succumb to their taunting “eat me!, eat me!”

I’m trying my best not to break my diet by repeating the mantra “I must fit in my wedding dress!”. Doesn’t help when pinky & perky (Carl & Kealey) who are both on diets too I should add, keep swooping in and eating them from under my nose.

Willpower and self discipline tested to the max …….. Maybe I could just have a few and then go for a run?

So following on from the overstock of pineapple I have quite a lot of oranges to use up now as well! Today I am going to peel & segment them and stick them in the freezer to use for smoothies this also saves me using ice cubes in my smoothies as I just bung a load of frozen fruit in instead .

Preparing them is a little bit tricky but worth it, I’ve added pics below. Firstly top and tail them, sit the orange on the flat bit and then cut the skin off from top to bottom. When it’s finished you can see the lines between each segment use this as a guide to make V shape cuts between each one. Lay them all out on a baking tray DONE! I’m gonna go back in 1/2 hr to turn them over so they stay “individual” and not stuck together or to the tray.

Use them in smoothies, stick em in the kids lunchboxes (in a sealable tub they’re messy!), stick em in your cocktails or fruit juice and they’d be fab in sangria too!
