Big pile of cheesecake :D

Yes it is actually a pile of cheesecake, apparantly cheesecake is the easiest thing to make, in it’s basic form you only actually need 4 ingredients

Biscuits
Butter
Cream cheese
Cream

I added baileys and chocolate chips to the one above to make it fancy for farthers day ( it nearly didn’t set as I added extra baileys and then my other half decided to generously add even more baileys)

The picture is before I spread the mixture out and added grated chocolate to the top, you don’t have to be dad to enjoy it!

Ta da!

My lunch – felafel with pitta, mint & yoghurt dressing, griddled peppers and salad. They look better now they are dressed :D

Falafel

Bin makin falafel, was going to post a pic but to be frank they look rather unappealing :/

I know, I know I am not really selling em , but I am a falafel making virgin up until now :) any suggestions on what they can be served with anyone?

Funny thing was I have seen them on the telly and in tesco and have heard from friends that they are good and now I have made them I dunno what to do with em!

The recipe I used was Jamie Oliver’s and consisted of chick peas, mixed beans, coriander, harrisa and lemon which is basically blitzed up and then some flour is added and you roll them into small patties. I used my flat griddle to cook them but they can be deep/shallow fried too. I’m just not keen on what Jamie serves them with so for now I just had em with salad. I will take pics when I have found something inventive to do with them :D

The weather

Everyman and his dog have been proclaiming it’s sunny and putting this on their FB status’s, yes I know it’s sunny I have a window!

Plus everyone who happens not to be at work has to point out how lucky it was that they happened to book this week off, yes we know it is important to rub it in when some of us are slaving away in offices & kitchens :( bah

The obvious advantage of working for yourself is that we can just pack up and naff off home when we feel like it. However we don’t generally, as it tends to make ppl miffed when they turn up to a shuttered door when they were starving hungry, so we just plug away …….

So the plan we have been opting for is, dashing home after work & sitting in the garden drinking sangria and pretending we have nothing to do and nowhere to be!!

Essential reading

How to make sangria Full Belly Styleeee:

1 measure of brandy
1 small glass of red wine
1/2 small glass fruit juice (orange or pineapple work best)
1 small glass of lemonade or if u have no fruit juice use tango or fanta

For an authentic holiday feel add ice cubes and sliced fruit and fill your boots! Not literally that wud be a bit squelchy and I should say drink responsibly, 2 glasses plus the sun equals Michelle being goosed %D
