I think the correct term for what I have been doing is scrumping

I gave all the kids (and the other half) bags and off we went in search of blackberries! I thought it was too early in the season, but apparantly not they are everywhere.

Case in point and what do you do with an abundance of blackberries?

Tonight I have been watching Kirstie’s fill your house for free, the basic idea being that she is helping people furnish their homes with a budget of very little or non-existent…. Impossible? apparantly not

There are many sites like Freecycle and swapz that offer other people’s possessions for free, swap or to buy this is where furniture can be picked up and recycled. This is known as Freecycling and there are many groups on Facebook can be found doing exactly the same thing.

I can’t believe we haven’t been doing it for years! Plenty of people frequently upgrade or change the colour scheme of their rooms and so bargains can be found all over the place.

Kirstie is basically showing us how to paint or accessorise this furniture with some neat ideas for ornaments and wall hangings. My daughter has recently flown the nest and I am absolutely amazed at the amount of stuff friends and family have donated to her as well as the bargains she has acquired online.

I think we may be just pimping her furniture!
