Today despite the sun blazing in through our front window we will actually be making sweet potato soup. You might think why bother on a day like this and quite frankly I wondered that myself this morning but ppl do actually seem to eat more soup in summer! Strange but true.

It wasn’t really that far away just Burnley!, yesterday we were at the football club for its annual Star Wars fun day. My 7 year old is somewhat of a boffin on the subject of Star Wars, he is like a walking encyclopaedia of trivia. Much fun was had by all including my nearly 18 year old daughter who was waaaaaayyy over excited and my 5 year old who apparantly has a love for wookies, who knew? Maybe it’s because he never had a teddy bear
Today’s jobs mainly consist of bagging and tubbing sweets. It’s not a bad job to do, but proving to be requiring a lot of willpower to NOT succumb to their taunting “eat me!, eat me!” I’m trying my best not to break my diet by repeating the mantra “I must fit in my wedding dress!”. Doesn’t help when pinky & perky (Carl & Kealey) who are both on diets too I should add, keep swooping in and eating them from under my nose. Willpower and self discipline tested to the max …….. Maybe I could just have a few and then go for a run?
Sooooo excited to see the postman he brought us a little box of happiness, Dobsons lollies samples! Really glad they gave us 2 of everything coz I wasn’t planning on sharing hehe especially the blackcurrant liquorice ones. |
